Spicy Green Chile Turkey and Sweet Potato Tacos


This was perfectly spicy and oh so yummy! I used whole wheat flour tortillas and served a guacamole salad along side of these delicious tacos. Enjoy!


Spicy Green Chile Turkey and Sweet Potato Tacos
Serves 4

1 lb Ground Turkey-cooked and drained
1 Cup Sweet Potato-par cooked and small diced
1/4 Cup Yellow Onion-small diced
1 Garlic Clove-diced
1 Tbsp Jalapeno-small diced
1 Tbsp Chili Powder
1 tsp Cumin
1/4 tsp Cayenne Pepper
1 Tbsp BBQ Sauce
1 Cup Green Chile Sauce
1/2 Cup Cilantro-chopped
1tbsp Salt or to taste
Olive oil or cooking spray to saute

In a saute pan, heat olive oil or cooking spray. Saute onion, garlic and jalapeno until caramelized. Return cooked turkey to the pan and season with chili powder, cayenne, cumin and BBQ sauce. Stir all ingredients to cook meat with spices. Add green chile sauce and salt. Cook for 10-15 minutes on medium heat and add chopped cilantro. Serve in warm flour tortilla.
