Jerk Turkey Burger with Orange Avocado Relish and Roasted Red Potatoes

Good Evening.
After looking at other food blogs I found that I have a lot of work to do....I am not the most computer savy person so bare with me if my blog is a little plain for awhile. I will work on the frills later. Now on to dinner.

It has been a very long day so a quick and easy dinner was in order. Last week I saw ground pork at Publix and they never have ground pork. I bought some and put it in the freezer, not sure of what I was going to do with it. Over the weekend I took it out along with 1lb of ground turkey. I used half of each and made spaghetti and roasted red pepper meat sauce(will post recipe later). I had the other half of each meat in my fridge and needed to use it today or it was going to go bad. This is what I came up with. Enjoy!

Jerk Turkey/Pork Burger with Avocado Orange Relish

1/2lb Ground Pork
1/2lb Ground Turkey
2 Tbsp Dry Jerk Seasoning
1 Tbsp Orange Zest
Couple dashes of Soy Sauce
Salt and Pepper-dry seasoning has salt so use just a tiny bit to enhance

Mix all ingredients in a bowl. Form 4 patties and grill for about 15 minutes.

Avocado Orange Relish

1 Avocado-diced
1 Navel Orange-Segmented and Diced
1 Tbsp Cilantro-chopped
1 Green Onion-sliced
salt and pepper-to taste

Mix all ingredients in a bowl. Top burger with relish.

Grilled Red Potatoes

8 Medium Red Potatoes-cut in half
Olive Oil
Salt and Pepper

Toss potatoes with olive oil, salt and pepper. Grill for about 20 minutes.

Sweet and Spicy Ketchup

2 Tbsp Sweet Chili Sauce
1/4 cup Ketchup

Mix together and serve with potatoes.

I started the potatoes, then pushed them to the side of the grill and put the burgers on. By the time the burgers were done the potatoes were tender and ready to go.
